Almost all dental insurance companies accept claims from independent dental hygienists. We will be happy to help you find out whether your insurance company accepts claims from an independent dental hygienist.
We will refer you to your current dentist for evaluation and possible repair of any dental issues you may have. If you do not have a dentist, we can help you locate and contact a dentist of your choice. We may also refer you to another health care practitioner or specialist if your condition or situation requires a referral to someone other than a dentist.
Currently an independent dental hygienist cannot take x-rays without a prescription from a dentist. If you require dental x-rays, a referral can be made to a dentist for an examination and the x-rays the dentist prescribes.
